El Paso, Texas

March 11, 2012  •  2 Comments

We spent the day in El Paso today.  The weather was pleasant- sunny and close to 21C or 70F.  We had a very relaxing day in the city- just sightseeing and doing some hiking.

We hiked the Upper Sunset Trail in the Franklin Mountains.   It sure reminded me of Arizona.

Here is another view from the hike as we made our way up the trail.

Time to stop for a picture.

We headed back to a scenic overlook in Franklin State Park in time for sunset.   You can see the mountains from Mexico in the background.

Here is another  view overlooking Mexico.  You can see our road on the right.

Gorgeous colours around 20 minutes after sunset.
