We spent the morning of April 3rd in the Lake Powell/Page area.   

My day started just before sunrise.    Lake Powell Resort was very nice and we were lucky enough to have a patio with a view where this photo was taken.  It was very cold first thing in the morning!

This shot was taken a little while later.

We stopped at a viewpoint close to the hotel  first thing in the morning.  I just love the blue water of the lake. 

Our first hike of the day was to Horseshoe Bend, about five miles  outside of Page.  This was taken on the trail.

This is a photo of Horseshoe Bend where the Colorado River makes a 180 degree turn.  What a breathtaking scene this was which I did not do justice to in my photo.  It was well worth the hike to get to this spot.

One last photo stop on the way out.  You can see why the Southwest is one of our favourite places.
