It was the usual four of us who got up in the middle of the night to head out to see the sunrise.  Well Ok not exactly the middle of the night but around 4 am.   We had to get up this early to make it in time to see the sun rise.   It was about an half hour drive or so to the park plus another 20-30 minute hike on the Bruce Trail  to get to the water.  

On the way to the park we came across farmers fields covered in mist.    We managed to pass the first one but by the time we reached the second field,  Don just had to stop the car to take some quick photos.  We didn't have much time because we did not want to miss the sunrise and it was getting late.    I just took a couple of shots,  didn't get the exact look I was going for but I still found this shot to be a bit interesting.

This was the view I saw after hiking for about 20 minutes and getting to the water.    I was pretty overwhelmed by how beautiful it was.

As you can guess I took lots of photos but also remembered to just enjoy the scenery.   This is the same view as above but the sun is just starting to rise and lighten the skies. 

I remember hiking over the boulders and rocks down to the shoreline to set up the tripod for these shots.  It was a really rocky area and a little difficult to move around.  For a while I was happy to stay put in one place.

I was so impressed with the sunrise.  I'm pretty sure it will be a while before I get up this early  but it sure was worth it.  The sky actually looked like this.

For this shot I had hiked up some boulders which overlooked the other side Georgian Bay.  There were rugged cliffs everyone you looked and thousand year old cedar trees.  Of course the only four people out at this time were us so we had the entire area to ourselves.  Not surprising considering how early it was.

You can see all of the rocks that we had to climb over/around.  

I couldn't get over how scenic it was everywhere I looked and what great colours there were all around.

This was definitely my favourite place that we visited.  Boulders, trees and water- what more could anyone want?
