On the afternoon of May 11th,  the group of us headed over to the Legacy Vintage warehouse and grounds in Cobourg  for a photo shoot.  This warehouse was formerly the site of the Canadian Pacific Railway Express Yard.  I thought of it as a junk yard but of course others might think of it more along the lines of an area  full of interesting artifacts.   The assignment  was  to photograph  items with different  colours and textures.    After spending time there we did some driving around the very pretty area.  The weather was perfect for photography!

Definitely  not my normal type of photography but I did find lots of colourful objects to photograph which I thought turned out ok.

I just wandered around looking for anything colourful or different.  There certainly was not a lack of material to choose from.

Well someone might buy it.

Lots of neat textures and colours  to photograph. We left the "Junk Yard" and headed out to the country to take pictures of some flowers.  This picture was done by shooting through some flowers and focusing on a flower behind.  My first attempt was just so-so.

This is the same technique as above- it might have worked out a little bit better though.  I haven't tried it since the workshop.

We stopped off in Port Hope  and wandered around the very pretty little town.  I just liked this tree against the old building.

We stopped to take pictures at the Ganaraska river in town.    It was  perfect lighting (golden hour as it is called) and I loved the colours of the water.
